Cynthia Zuniga-Frias
MSW Intern
Meet Cynthia, our most recent addition to Austin Therapy for Girls. She is now pursuing a social work graduate degree at Our Lady of the Lake in San Antonio, Texas, while also working as an intern at ATFG. She earned a bachelor’s degree in both psychology and biology from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Cynthia was raised in Mexico and is proficient in both English and Spanish, making her an excellent complement to Austin Therapy for Girls. Cynthia employs a relational approach in therapy and is skilled in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She receives supervision from Shayna Barksdale, LCSW-S, and Alma Mena, LCSW-S.
Cynthia is a kind, outgoing person who is enthusiastic about giving back to her community. She hopes to win over many clients’ hearts by helping them become the best versions of themselves. Not to mention her favorite color is pink, she loves dogs, and she has a passion for interior design and fashion. When Cynthia isn’t working or studying, she enjoys going on runs at Lady Bird Lake, working out at the gym, hanging out with friends, or binge-watching her favorite shows.
