Lisa Batres

LCSW

Lisa earned a Master’s in Social Work from Boston College, where she developed a passion for working with children and teens from diverse backgrounds. Lisa is originally from the northern Virginia area but made Austin her home in 2022. She is a proud bilingual therapist speaking both English and Spanish. Over the years, Lisa has helped children, teens, and their families get through moments of crisis, repair relationships, and reach mental wellness goals. Lisa specializes in helping those struggling with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationships, and gender identity. Lisa has also found a new enjoyment in working with young adults who are also experiencing these struggles.

Lisa has a compassionate approach to help clients feel safe and understood within the therapy space. She intentionally uses patience and kindness to help her clients who feel stuck or unmotivated to start making small steps towards their goals. Lisa uses different treatment modalities that best fits each client such as play therapy, sandtray, art therapy, solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, family therapy and mindfulness techniques.

Outside of the office Lisa enjoys spending time with her husband and cat, baking, exploring new places in Austin, and going to live concerts. Lisa also enjoys trying new hobbies and is currently trying out embroidery.
