Jennifer McCracken Dugan

Jennifer received her Master of Social Work at Smith College in 1996.  Along with her work at Austin Therapy for Girls, she is a school counselor and an adjunct professor at Simmons University Master of Social Work online.  In her 20+ years of working with young children, teens, and families, Jennifer creates a safe and nurturing space to work through life’s challenges.

Jennifer understands that all children and families go through developmental hurdles. Everyday life events can be difficult: Jennifer works to help develop resiliency, self-awareness, and meaningful connections.  Jennifer blends a range of therapeutic approaches, including play therapy, mindfulness, narrative therapy, family systems, and CBT strategies in her work. Jennifer believes in supporting the whole family through coaching and consultation as well as working with teachers and educators to encourage lasting change and success.

Jennifer is originally from New England, who made her home in Austin 8 years ago.  In her free time, she enjoys yoga, hiking, baking, and spending family time with her family.
